In June 2019, Future Coding 3 group started their ‘learn to code’/ Information Technology (IT): System Development NQF 4 Learnership.
Unfortunately, due to #COVID-19 virus this made it difficult for businesses, employees and learners to continue to learn or work. But, as a team, we agreed and committed to continue with the ‘Learn To Code’ learnership.
COVID-19 LOCKDOWN CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES
During the lockdowns, we had challenges, but all of us wanted to succeed, we did not want to give up. Many learners continued with the training from home using Future Coding TV app and other learning tools.
Future Coding wishes to thank you for your commitment and showing the will to finish the training.
ACHIEVEMENTS
From March to November 2020, it was not easy, but as a team we achieved:
1. The launch of Future Coding TV app, which was a new, innovative and fun way to make it easy for learners to continue with 'learn to code' training from home during #COVID-19 lockdown.
2. The launch of the Future Coding website allowed the learners to access information and learn more about #GivingTheDeafFreedomToCode programme/bootcamps/skills development.
3. Preparation and Completion of Portfolio of Evidence (POE) files.
CONGRATULATIONS 👌🏽🤟🏾🎉 to everyone who attended and completed the training, submitted their POE files and finally, for completing your learnership. YOU MADE IT! WELL DONE!!!!!!!!🎊🙌🏽
WHAT IS NEXT?
We look forward to hosting you for your CERTICATION HANDOVER / GRADUATION CEREMONY in IT System Development NQF 4 in 2021 🎓
It is now the end of the year and the end of the ‘learn to code’/ IT System Development NQF 4 learnership.
For now enjoy this time with your family and stay safe.

COVID 19 HAS CHANGED THE WAY WE DO THINGS. WE ARE THANKFUL TO FUTURE CODING 3 DELEGATES FOR REMAINING CALM AND PATIENT DURING THE COMPLETION OF THE POE.
Future Coding is proud of the 2019 group, called Future Coding 3.
Online learning has not been easy for everyone, but we have received positive feedback from some of the delegates that are part of the programme.
Here is a testimony from one of the delegates: “Thank you for giving us the best possible chance to finish the POE, and also thank you to Future Coding for being patient and calm when we were completing the POE files” – Delegate 1
Future Coding will start to collect the POE files this week 14-18 Sep 2020.
Thank you, Future Coding 3 delegates, we appreciate your commitment in wanting to complete the training.

The Covid 19 pandemic has confronted the way business is done in many ways. What was previously viewed as a huge challenge has now become the "new normal".
Reaction: The vision at Future Coding continues to stay true even with sudden changes; striving to create a pipeline of young Deaf ICT professionals with digital talent in cutting-edge technologies.
The rationale to continue: At Future Coding we have completely incorporated the winds of change and have continued to provide our Deaf delegates with the tools they need in order to complete their Information Technology: Systems Development NQF level 4 qualification which covers modules such as system design and analysis, computer principles, problem solving, business acumen and programming languages such as Java, HTML and SQL.
The rationale to continue: The delegates have invested so much in gaining these valuable skills and the final stage was to complete a portfolio of evidence (POE) file to display what they have learnt during their training and development. Final leg, last stretch Regardless of the challenge of not being able to physically attend training sessions where the POE files would have been handed over to each delegate, the team at Future Coding insured that each Deaf delegate has access to their respective POE by resourcefully hand delivering and couriering the required documentation.
